Bench scales is a generic term used for a wide range of weighing equipment that is suited to use on a workbench or table. The term bench scales can also be used to describe scales with capacities of up to 300Kg that may be positioned on the floor. Generally bench scales will have a maximum weighing area size of around 600 x 600mm, scales of this size that are fitted with a pillar / column (or swan neck) tend to have a height more accustomed to being placed on the floor, its important to check the height of the column and whether the indicator can swivel to a desirable angle.
