When weighing non-conductive items such as china, glass etc, an electromagnetic field can be induced if these items are carrying an electrostatic charge.
This can cause the balance weighing result to be distorted by up to 1g.
When weighing in milligrammes therefore, we recommend neutralising this charge with the Kern AC-Korona discharge analyser.
A mount is supplied with the ioniser so it can be postioned close to the balance.
You can direct the ioniser from all sides onto the item to be weighed if this is necessary.

The KERN Anti-Vibration Table is designed for use in the laboratory or metrology room to provide suitable working conditions for devices that are sensitive to vibrations and shocks.
